The company was officially formed in October of 2001 as a byproduct of a consulting project its founders were involved in which centered around a speech interface. The founders saw a void in the speech recognition market and knew they were capable of building solutions and applications that outperformed the major players in the industry.

The plan was simple: A superior speech recognition solution that provided a ROI for our clients, but was affordable to large and mid-size customers alike.

Previous to two successful rounds of venture financing, Terakeet signed its first customer and began building its flagship series of applications. The company's first customer was one of the largest financial disclosure companies in the US; providing data and information to clients including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Coca-Cola. Shortly after raising funding, Terakeet began signing up eager customers across the United States.

Our plan worked. Since then, Terakeet has evolved into a pioneering company whose presence is distinguished in the realm of technology.
